In order to create and maintain healthy, thriving communities National CORE prioritizes family and senior service delivery as a significant component to every development.
To that end, it created the Hope Through Housing Foundation. Hope Through Housing is responsible for delivering quality community programs that have measurable results. These programs are focused in three areas:
Child Development – Helping preschoolers become ready to learn
Youth Development – Preparing youth to be academically competitive and ready for lifelong learning
Senior Wellness – Keeping seniors healthy and socially connected to others
Hope Through Housing has created a program model that is efficient and effective. Using ongoing program evaluation tools, it raises the standard for service delivery in affordable housing communities. Program quality, including both environmental and relationship factors, is monitored on an ongoing basis and is used to gauge the measurable impacts programs have on residents. For example, academic improvement in After School and Beyond participants, or improved physical functioning for Senior Wellness participants.
