JOB DESCRIPTION
AFTER SCHOOL SITE STAFF

20 hours/week, no benefits

The Program Worker will facilitate recreation, education, and/or enrichment at a Hope Through Housing program site. The position reports to the Site Coordinator.

Description of Duties

• To design, plan, and facilitate activities with groups of 20 children.
• To advise the Site Coordinator as to what supplies, materials, and other forms of support are needed for activities.
• To implement Hope Through Housing's best practices after school model.
• To supervise all program participants to ensure a safe and organized program.
• To assist with the planning and facilitation of special projects and events.
• To attend staff development trainings and workshops.
• To perform other duties as assigned.

Professional Qualifications

• Desire to work with children and youth.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Hope Through Housing staff, parents, and community.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with Hope Through Housing and National CORE staff, public officials, private sector officials, parents, and community leaders.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Other Requirements

• Ability to speak and write a language other than English is preferred.
• Ability to work 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Willing to work evenings and Saturdays as required.
• Willing to travel to off-site meetings, trainings, and events.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass TB skin test and background check.
