JOB DESCRIPTION
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES
TThe Assistant Director of Aging Services reports to the Executive Director for the Hope Through Housing Foundation. The Assistant Director of Aging Services will develop, manage, and supervise the delivery of best practices geriatric and disability services related to community-based and clinical settings.
KEY OBJECTIVES FOR THE POSITION:
Establish multiple-site community-based social work service operation in low-income apartment settings using a variety of staffing and resource modalities for service delivery.
Assist in evaluating various health care service delivery business models for possible development and implementation including physical therapy services and PACE health care services.
Create effective staff systems and operational structures.
Develop operational plans that demonstrate/reflect knowledge of best practices in geriatrics, adult disabilities and social work for the community-based setting.
Demonstrate leadership ability with excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.
Develop, plan, coordinate and implement older adult and disability services in conjunction with the Executive Director to maintain budgetary, and effectiveness standards and all licensing and contract compliance requirements.
Assist in developing expansion strategy for older adults and disability services.
Able to manage compliance reports to governmental and other funding sources as required.
Other:
Must attend Company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which, from time to time, may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
REQUIRED TALENTS
Must have demonstrated achievements in developing clinical and non-clinical programs for older adults.
Must have demonstrated ability to execute business plans and manage diverse activities.
Must be skilled in creating business systems, staff management and flexible and adaptable organizational structures.
Must have demonstrated leadership ability and management expertise.
Must be knowledgeable in licensing and government regulations related to services for persons with disabilities and older adults in a variety of settings.
Knowledge of and experience with outcome and evaluation measures is required.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in psychology, social work, public health or related field is desired, MSW or LCSW is preferred. A degree in an un-related field, combined with experience, will be acceptable.
3-5 years in leadership capacity, managing diverse set of programs, services and staff in clinical and non-clinical service delivery settings.
