JOB DESCRIPTION
Resident Programs Assistant
The Resident Programs Assistant works onsite at one or more communities to assist in the development, oversight and delivery of ongoing Senior Wellness programs and services, under the direction of the Regional Services Manager. Resident Services Coordinator works with onsite management teams and Community Based Organizations to ensure effective implementation of programs for seniors and other adults, and to provide resource and referral services.
Essential Duties:
- Assess community needs.
- Develop strategic plan, under the direction of the Regional Services Manager, to implement Senior Wellness programs.
- Create and maintain a strong calendar of community events and programming.
- Oversee operation of all programs.
- Create and distribute calendars, flyers and materials to market programs, conduct outreach, and maintain high levels of participation.
- Establish and maintain ongoing communication among residents, onsite management, Community Based Organizations and Hope.
- Under the direction of the Regional Services Manager, develop and implement strategies for community building and resident engagement.
- Work as an intake and community referral agent for residents and others in need of referral services.
- Complete data collection, data entry, and reporting that is timely, accurate and thorough.
- Must attend Company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which, from time to time, may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience managing and delivering social services and assistance to older adults and/or persons with disabilities. A Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred, but not required. Degree in progress and/or relevant experience may be acceptable.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel.
- Ability to use the internet, on-line research, and data entry.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, Senior Services and programming.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately document service delivery and maintain records for the oversight of contracts with community organizations.
- High level of self motivation and ability to motivate others
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to complete administrative tasks as assigned
- A collaborative, team-oriented work style.
- An enthusiastic attitude with proven ability to
organize and coordinate work teams
